Javier Perez
Spanish sculptor Javier Perez depicts delicate human forms, with skin taut against bone, emerging from twisted dead wood in his installation Trans(formaciones). Created using bronze, parchment and polyester, the sculptures express the texture and positioning of mummified corpses. At times the pieces evoke the feeling the human forms are one with the wood, in others they are crawling out of the gnarled wood.
